As our event location, the M1 Concourse proved a more-than-worthy selection for our school’s prom. Bruce, the manager with whom we primarily worked, was incredibly helpful and easy to work with. Likewise, Ali was also accommodating. Those two helped provide suggestions for decor as well as potential vendors, several of which we ultimately hired. During and after the event, the entire staff was helpful, attentive, and overall improved the event’s aura. If you’re searching for a potential alternative venue for your school dance or other function, consider M1 as a worthy candidate.

Banquet

Generally used for meals and sessions involving small group discussions. A five foot round table seats eight people comfortably. A six foot round table seats 10 people comfortably.

Conference and Hollow Square

Perfect for interactive discussions. Imagine a hotel “boardroom” for 10 to 20 people, equipped with full audiovisual capabilities, a writing board, cork board and a flip chart.

E-Shape, U-Shape and T-Shape

These shapes are best for groups of less than 40 with a leader seated at the head of the setup. Audiovisual is usually best set up at the open end of the seating.

Theater

Perfect for large sessions or short lectures. This is a convenient setup to use before breaking into discussion or role-playing groups as the chairs are movable.

Reception

Ideal as a stand-up social function where beverages and light foods are served. Foods can be presented on small buffet tables or by servers.

Schoolroom or Classroom

This is the most desirable setup for medium to large-size lectures. Requires a relatively large room. Tables provide attendees with space for spreading out materials and taking notes.
