Whether you're looking to improve your reaction time, dial in your setup, or simply enjoy a day of legal drag racing, M1 Burnout gives enthusiasts the opportunity to race in a controlled environment on the M1 Concourse drag strip.

Unlike bracket racing or elimination competition, this is a Test & Tune format. Drivers may make as many head-to-head passes as time allows during the event. No eliminations. No points. Just seat time. With only 40 racer entries available, early registration is highly recommended.

Dial in your setup and race in a controlled environment on the M1 Concourse drag strip.

Vehicle Requirements

Your vehicle must:

  • ✔  State Registration
  • ✔  Valid License Plate
  • ✔  DOT Street Legal
  • ✔  Functional Mufflers Required
  • ✔  Safe Mechanical Condition

Tech Inspection

Every race vehicle must successfully complete inspection prior to racing.

Upon passing inspection, officials will issue:

  • Windshield Tech Inspection Sticker
  • Official Racer Number

Only vehicles displaying both items may participate.

Driver Requirements

Drivers must be 18 with a valid license

Mandatory Driver Meeting

Time: 10:30 AM

Attendance is mandatory.

Drivers will receive:

  • Event Wristband
  • Final Safety Instructions
  • Staging Procedures
  • Flagging Procedures

Drivers who miss the meeting will not be permitted to race.

Safety Rules

Safety Comes First. To provide a safe environment for all participants, M1 Burnout enforces strict operating procedures.

Return Road Speed Limit

A strict speed limit is enforced on the return straightaway.

Any driver exceeding the posted speed limit will:

  • Receive an immediate Black Flag
  • Be removed from the event
  • Lose eligibility to participate in future M1 Burnout drag racing events

Unsafe driving anywhere on M1 Concourse property will not be tolerated.

All racers are required to complete the electronic liability waiver prior to participating.

Frequently asked questions

Is this an elimination race?

No. M1 Burnout is a Test & Tune event where drivers make as many runs as time allows.

How many runs do I get?

There is no run limit. Participants may make as many passes as time permits.

Can passengers ride along?
No. Only the driver is permitted in the race vehicle during competition runs.
What if I arrive late?

Drivers must attend the mandatory 10:30 AM drivers meeting.

Failure to attend will result in being unable to participate.

Can I race against my friends?

Yes. Drivers line up head-to-head throughout the event.

Do I need a race car?

No. Street legal vehicles are welcome provided they:

  • Are registered
  • Display a license plate
  • Meet DOT requirements
  • Pass tech inspection
Can I bring crew members?

Yes. Each racer registration includes up to four (4) crew members.

What happens if I do not pass tech inspection?

M1 will issue you a refund.
